WoW Classic: 10 Must Have Items (part 1)

We all know how Classic is really gear dependent but there are a lot of “world” items that are less known to the player base. These items are not so popular and are easy to obtain.

All of the items will greatly aid any PvP and/or PvE based action that you do throughout Azeroth.

1. Carrot on a Stick

Running is the main type of travel in the game, aside of flying path. This item is very handy when it comes to every day travels for a player that has a mount obtained.

Carrot on a Stick is a trinket that will require level 40 to be obtained and increases mount speed by 3%. This trinket can be obtained through a quest called Gahz’rilla in the Shimmering Flats.

This may not sound like a big increase, but trust me, it is. Having to run around Azeroth for hours is a lot, but with this trinket, you get a great aid.

2. Skull of Impending Doom

This is a great item that can be used for both PvP and PvE. It has a 5 minute cooldown and it gives 60% increased run speed for 10 seconds.

The other use of the item is using the “side” effect that the item has. It deals 100 to 500 damage and drains 100 to 500 mana every 2 seconds. How does this help? This item can break disorient effects such as Polymorph or Sap when used because of the self-inflict damage.

It can be obtained from the quest Forbidden Knowledge in both Ironforge and Undercity respectively.

This is a must have for any hardcore PvP player.

3. Nifty Stopwatch

This one is similar as the Skull of Impending Doom. It is a trinket that increases run speed by 40% for 10 seconds. The downside of this trinket is that it has 30min cooldown.

Nonetheless, this item can be handy in a lots of situations, especially for flag capping in Warsong Gulch.

It can be obtained through a quest called This Is Going to Be Hard in the Badlands.

4. Hydrocane

The Hydrocane comes handy when there’s a need of some underwater action. When equipped, it allows underwater breathing.

It can be used in a world PvP situation or whenever there’s a quest that requires going underwater.

This staff drops from Vicious Fallout which is a boss in the Gnomergan.

5. Linken’s Boomerang

This item can be both useful for PvP and PvE. It is a trinket that does 113 to 187 damage with a chance to stun or disarm the target.

This one is a great for pulling mobs from a range and also a chance to stun/disarm a player during PvP.

It is obtained from the quest It’s Dangerous to Go Alone in Un’Goro Crater.
