Covenants are a new feature coming in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. Let’s dive into details of what they are and how they change your Gameplay!

There are 4 major Covenants available in Shadowlands. But What are them and what bonus do they have for you? Here we will cover what was told in World of Warcraft: Shadowland Unveil.

Each of them has 2 unique abilities which you can access, one class-specific and one is universal between all the members of the chosen Covenant.

Covenants Bonuses

  • Each of them has a full endgame narrative campaign.
  • They have an Endgame progression system called Soulbinds.
  • A wide array of Cosmetic Rewards.

In the Shadowlands announcement, there was something about character-specific traits and bonuses.

As well as developing Soulbinds with specific Covenant members, which grant them access to that character’s specific traits and bonuses.

Covenants Cosmetics

There are transmog sets for each armor type and a mount which you can get access to.

Ion Hazzikostas also mentioned there is no Artifact Power to Grind for them.

Kyrian

Zone: Bastion

Steadfast guardians who carry the souls of the dead.

Living beings have wished to become something greater than themselves since time immemorial. The friendly face we will be encountering once we join Kyrian in Bastion is Uther Lightbringer.

The example ability rewards they showed for Kyrian Covenant was :

Unburden: Dissolve into pure anima to increase your movement speed, slow your falling speed, and propel you forward. Greatly reduces the radius at which enemies will detect you.

Necrolord

Zone: Maldraxxus

Necrotic soldiers who wage war throughout the cosmos.

It’s the heart of the shadowlands’ military might. It’s the survival of the fittest, but they’re not necessarily evil. The friendly face we will be encountering once we join Necrolord Covenant in Maldraxxus is Draka Mother of Thrall.

Night Fae

Zone: Ardenweald

Defenders of nature who uphold the cycle of rebirth.

Ardenweald is an enchanted mystical forest and the Emerald Dream’s dark mirror. The friendly face we will be encountering once we join Night Fae Covenant in Ardenweald is Cenarius.

Venthyr

Zone: Revendreth

Eaters of sin who harvest anima from wicked souls.

The friendly face we will be encountering once we join Venthyr in Revendreth is Kael’thas.
