The speculation for Classic Burning Crusade coming to Classic servers rose after Blizzard sent a Survey to some people about servers and Character creation.
The Burning Crusade is remembered by its features, notably, Flying, the two new races it added, Blood elf and Draenei, and the removal of faction-specific classes like Shamans for Horde and Paladins for Alliance.
Earlier we speculated the coming of Classic Burning Crusade Servers after it was said in Blizzard quarterly earnings call they had a follow-up planned for World of Warcraft Classic. Now Blizzard has sent surveys to some players about character creation and how would they prefer it, separate servers or just one for both expansions.
The survey had one question about Burning Crusade Servers character creation:
Thinking about the potential ways a player could start a character in “Classic” Burning Crusade, which of the following would you prefer the most?
And the options were:
- Continue playing my current Classic character on my existing server as it progresses to the Burning Crusade expansion, with the option to transfer to a Classic server that will never progress past level 60.
- Start a brand new character from level 58 on a new Burning Crusade server.
- Start a brand new character from Level 1 on a new Burning Crusade server.
- Continue playing my current Classic character on my existing server that will never progress past level 60, with the option to transfer to a Burning Crusade server.
From the very early start of Classic servers, people speculated about later expansion coming available which was one the question asked many times on the Reddit AMA with developers. This might open the way for other expansions classic servers like Wrath of the Lichking which was one of the most praised World of Warcraft expansion. Only time can tell whether we will be seeing Burning Crusade coming to classic or no. Options are always welcome as people can experience what happened to the old World of Warcraft, and how it changed over the course of years.
