World of Warcraft is a massive game that offers players numerous adventures, fierce battles, interesting locations to explore and various things to collect. Among those collectibles are battle pets which kept being added into the game with every new patch and expansion and are currently very popular thanks to all of their variations and quirky little features. In this article, we will be going over the top 10 rare battle pets in no particular order. Please keep in mind that this list is entirely subjective and that your opinion may differ from ours. With that out of the way, let’s get into it.

1. Stardust
To start things off we have Stardust which is a rare level pet and getting it is no easy task. In order to get your hands on this celestial bunny, you need to complete the achievement Raiding with Leashes IV: Wrath of the Lich King. Upon doing so, you will receive A Celestial Invitation which will allow you to face off against Algalon the Observer in a pet battle. Once you beat him, you will receive Stardust as a reward for completing the quest.

2. Thistleleaf Adventurer
This battle pet is also of the rare quality and getting it will require a certain amount of luck which is probably why it is so rare amongst the players. To obtain Thistleleaf Adventurer, players need to complete Val’sharah emissary quests. Upon completing them, players will receive the Dreamweaver Provisions which has a chance to contain the battle pet in question.

3. Wondrous Wisdomball
This one is a non-combat pet but due to its rarity, we had to include it on this list. To obtain this, players will need to complete a quest titled “Enemies everywhere”. To start this quest players need to pick up an item called the Strange Humming Crystal from the Kirin Tor emissary chest.

4. Hateful Eye
This battle pet is obtainable only by warlocks and demon hunters through their order hall. Players who wish to get this pet need to purchase an order hall upgrade which will allow demon bosses to be summoned which players can then kill and loot. These bosses have a small chance to drop the Hateful Eye pet which can’t be sold or traded.

5. Alliance Enthusiast/Horde Fanatic
These pets are exclusive to the faction that you play so if you wish to have both of them, you will have to play as both Alliance and Horde. To obtain these two battle pets, players will need to raise their honor level to 50.

6. Lagan
Lagan is an aquatic pet which players can earn by completing the achievement titled “Poor Unfortunate Souls”. To get this achievement, players are required to defeat Helya in the Maw of Souls dungeon on mythic difficulty while all of the players are affected by the Poor Unfortunate Souls effect.

7. Albino Buzzard
To get the Albino Buzzard, players will need to head to the Northern Barrens and find a pet trainer called Crysa. After challenging and defeating Crysa in a pet battle, she will reward you with a sack of pet supplies which has a chance to contain the Albino Buzzard pet.

8. Nightmare Treant
Nightmare Treant is probably one of the hardest to obtain pets on this list. It is a reward for completing an achievement titled “Family Familiar” which requires the player to beat numerous pet trainers by using only pets that belong to the same family.

9. Celestial Calf
This pet is very simple to get but despite that is one of the rarest pets in the game. To get your hands on it, all you have to do is purchase it for 500 000 gold from the Mad Merchant vendor who spawns randomly in Dalaran.

10. Knockoff Blingtron
